I trust I was one of the first people to commend exhibiting an RSS icon below single posts , and right away pretty much all blogs do that.

It is a coherent thing after all. Ofttimes times visitors will pertain your site via search engines or via referral links, and they will scarce understand the article they are seeking and act on (plausibly lacking the RSS icons you have on the header or on top of the sidebar). If you localise a message at the bottom of each post, promoting visitors to support, you might catch their attention and convert them to seize your feed. What about email subscription forms though?
